Usually, when you stay in a relationship far longer than you should, there are points in your mind where you wish you would have ended it sooner. The are moments, canon events, where you wonder how your life would have turned out if you made different decisions at a critical moment. Too bad we never know when those moments are coming. I certainly didn't see it happnening on a random date night.

One of his frieds was having his birthday party at a popular club in town. His sister also worked there. I was so used to him being gone from the house, I was shocked when he asked me about going to his friend Jerry's party. It was on a Friday night. He was usually gone to brother's night with the frat, at school working on his master's in the evening, or at the gym. So cool, I'm looking forward to a date night. Kids would be watched by my sister. We would leave after putting the kiddos to sleep.

By then we had two kids, 6 & 3. He was working on his master's degree, I was content in my career. So content I was helping him with school. I paid for some of his books and helped with almost every paper or essay he had to turn in. I was happy to be a help mate, Apparently so was a chick in one of his classes. The night of friend Jerry's birthday party, b.a.b.d got drunk. Drunk drunk. I was chilling with the birthday party when my phone rang. It was his sister saying he was drunk at the door, come take him home. When I saw him, he was falling asleep at the bouncer's stool/ID check station by the front door. Cool, I guess dancing and drinking is over for the night. I thought nothing of it and headed home.

While he was in out of drunken sleep, he would talk. He asked me to stop at White Castles. talked about music, standard night out stuff, lol. While he was sleep, he got a text message from a girl in his class. He was working on his Masters degree. The text message said "and while you bringing the book, bring that dick tonight too". Chills went down my spine, I should've left the next morning.

I should have followed my first mind. The moment I pulled up to the house, I thought to pull out my phone and call and say I was outside. But no, I got my happy desperate self out of my car and walked

Imagine a steak house that serves you counter style like Chipotle. You order at one end of the counter and pick up your food after paying. It's a really long counter with a salad and desert section. T
